The “Art in a Different Light” Art Show at 111 Minna Gallery is almost a tradition. I am participation for the third time in this black light show. While the last two years I was investigating my identity and personal experiences, this year I became more political with my work that emphasizes the resistance after the election. 

Most people hearing the term „endangered species” think of grizzly bears, manatees or whales rather than small wildlife animals. Although many of these small creatures are unknown to us, they are important parts of our ecosystem.

It's Monarch Butterfly season in the Bay Area. But where did they go? Earlier this year, I reported about my little Monarch invasion in Redwood City, and how their life cycles and marvelous migration from the United States and Canada down to Mexico inspired a whole series of Monarch Butterfly murals. 

Right in the middle of Berlin lies the Haus Schwarzenberg – a place were you can still feel the rebellious spirit of house occupation after the wall came down. Haus Schwarzenberg apparently fits perfectly my concept of “Entropy”. 

The Karuizawa New Art Museum (KaNAM) currently shows a painting from my new series about abandoned places. After my Circus of Curiosity, I’m now throwing the viewer into the surreal world of an amusement park graveyard. 

Butterflies are fluttering into the blue summer sky on my utility box mural in Redwood City. At first sight, it seems ironic that this mural is located next to the Maguire Correctional Facility. Butterflies symbolize freedom as the butterfly with its wings fully spread can go anywhere. They cannot be hold by jail grids or walls - tiny fragile creatures that even cross borders.

Art Attack SF is showcasing our favorite comic book villains, Henchman and sidekicks from June 3rd to June 19th. I’m happy to be part of their amazing selection of California artists. 

Tonight the Mission Cultural Center opens its doors to the 30th SOLO MUJERES exhibition. This year's theme is "War, Woes, and Transformations".

Since my new black light pieces are about San Francisco and Oakland, I decided to exhibit them in both cities. 111 Minna Gallery & Love Potion Collective are very unique art venues. 

What you do to my city, you do to myself. The city is in my body. I have been walking it, breathing it, dancing it, eating it and sleeping it.

Sometimes I get stuck between the old and new world. I am sitting on the mood swing - not sure if a new chapter in my life just begins or if I will fail. 

Designing this book cover was all about the story. Jens Albrecht’s “Jugendherbergszivi” pays homage to the Civilian Service. The main character Stu works at a youth hostel where he meets a lot of young girls and falls in love.

Every year I’m face painting for the Día de los Muertos procession in San Francisco. I set up my painting station, table and chairs in the late afternoon at Garfield Park. I enjoy the beautiful altars and the scent of marigolds. The park becomes a public space to honor the loss of loved ones and to connect with one another through art and expression over the timeless subject of death and dying.

As the history of our universe shows, entropy constantly feeds in the cycle of life and death. Entropy is turning everything towards disorder. Though evolution is generating order out of disorder. With the Big Bang and the development of life, entropy increased in the universe.

The creation of the universe was the beginning of everything. 13.9 billion years ago, the Big Bang wasn’t something that happened inside the universe - it was the moment when both time and space were created. Since that point the universe is expanding and entropy is increasing. 

For this year’s Mystery Build, I wanted to create something that nobody has ever done before. My project evolved into a short film that captures the evolution of life in five acts – all out of only ONE Mystery Build Kit!

Recently I had the pleasure to work with the Pleasanton Arts Commission. The City was looking for uplifting artworks to beautify and promote the downtown area. They chose the perfect location for my design, since I found my inspiration in nature. 

Yesterday was the opening of the “Glow Show” in the Penny McNaughton Gallery at ARTescape, Sonoma. 

Last Saturday I was among more than 20 other artists who exhibited vibrant, brightly-colored artwork at the annual “Art in a Different Light” event at 111 Minna Gallery.

The New Age girl blows into the water of the sea until it becomes a tidal wave that is rolling into the San Francisco Bay. The dark, hidden depths of the ocean reveal the unknown - an untouched and unexplored part of the mythological world that is not visible on the surface.
